What a wonderful experience! The Sacramento Blues Society put on a great show on Sunday September 24th at Harlow's in downtown Sacramento. The "Gone But Not Forgotten" segment always gets me! Marcel Smith with Bob Jone & The Chosen Few were absolutely phenom! Then the awards ceremony which was way too stressful for me - thought I was going to have a heart attack! Got through it ok, though. Brought home a beautiful award and made a wonderful connection with the Sacramento Blues Society. Mick Martin was there with his big old smiling face to congratulate me and hug me tight. Sally Katen, the President of the Blues Society inducted me. My sister cancer survivor was very eager to induct me and get me on my way. There's more BITS Shows in my future and maybe a little involvement with the Hall of Fame Committee. We'll hafta see how things go.
